:Fan-art? Drynn: That's my SEAL!

Bathed in frosty chill the humble Arctic Dinghy glided smoothly
across the ice dotted water, engine humming dutifully as the humans 
steered it nearer to a certain spot where a small monitoring
device blinked in and out at them... Signaling that their purpose for the
sudden venture was at hand and they could collect it relatively soon without
incident if all went well... Of course, Fate had other ideas. 


"Darn signal- won't stop dying!" Came the irritated growl with
the sounds of plastic smacking against skin. 

Rich chuckling fallowed soon after as the weather worn sailor shook
his silvered head at his old friend. " Jus' leave'er be Hal, it'll show us tha'way."

"Tch- I don't believe in these modern day technologic gizmos, John. Sooner
steer you into a iceberg then a rescue ship, that's what I say," said the one
called Hal as he begrudgingly lowered back into his seat before both
men perked in interest at the red dot which blinked rapidly on the screen two
klicks from their position.


The boat slowed to a halt as its occupants in turn took sweeping glances
across the frozen ocean in hopes of spotting the grey blob.. The motion
yielding no results until by chance, dark brown eyes locked onto a disfigured 
shape that suddenly sprung from the dark blue depths, scrambling
for purchase onto the small scrape of frozen mass almost like... It was running.

A Shark perhaps? 

In any case the owner slapped his colleges shoulder
and pointed in the direction of his find... John grinned wickedly
and started the engine once more while the other gathered a bundle of
fishing nets and readied for the toss to ensnare their unsuspecting prey.

Unaware to the approaching craft the aquatic mammal focused on regaining its breath in
shallow gasps upon the small harbor of broken ice, before the heavy tons of metal balls and tightly twined 
wires collapsed upon smooth speckled skin startling the animal whom barked and yowled
in outrage, thrashing desperately in already weakened state as its captors eagerly
drew it closer and closer with awaiting hooks and blood dried spears.


Suddenly, the water erupted in a giant explosion causing near by ice
chucks and the Dinghy itself to nearly flip over! The humans within
crying out in panic as hands flew out to grab onto the ropes in
attempts at preventing the capsize... Before all motion ceased when
frazzled gazes pivoted upwards at the ominous shadow that loomed
overhead, brown and green eyes faltering in disbelief at what stood
before them or rather ARCHED.  


There towering nearly eighty feet was a being that looked like a man from the waist up
and a Killer whale waist down. Long strands of silver hair tainted black at the tips 
drizzled copious amounts of sea water upon the tanned slightly toned torso and
forearms adorned in matching bangles with curious markings and tattoos scattered upon
its upper body... It looked almost... Beautiful~ and elegant in appearance, but that is
where the appeal ended for the face was twisted in the most menacing glare the two
humans had ever had the displeasure of being on the receiving end of...
One massive hand emerged from the frozen depths and laid rest on a nearby ice mass; big enough to 
hold its weight... but not solid enough to withstand the deadly crushing grip that
ensured, cracking the ice beneath into millions of shards pelting the exposed faces of 
the two men who were not quick enough to shield the incoming debris. 


Cold aqua eyes burned into the inhabitants of the pathetic water craft, earning a deeper
throaty growl from the monstrous Demigod whose merciless temper increased tenfold each
passing second. Disgusting humans, how dare they soil his beloved Seas with their vile contraptions
and stalk his PREY! This blasphemes offense would not be tolerated and he intended to uncurl
his wrath accordingly... With his free hand, the Demigod gripped and lifted away netting
to scoop up the protesting seal in a tightened fist, whipping the trap at its owners in vengeance
as they squawked in hasty retreat to avoid be caught in their own snare and throw
over board along with it. 


"INSOLENT HUMANS! How dare you travel among my ocean in such a abomination and hunt
prey in my territory! Do you know who I am? I am Drynn! Guardian of the Sea and revered God among men!
And you shall know my fury." He said with such contempt that
the two mortals could only gawk and look on absolute horror as fingers twice the size
of them descended and turned their world to black.....

Rise your hand if your a sucker for badass Orca Mer-folk, cause I am, =w=
and I'm quite pleased at rediscovering the account responsible for him. Its cool, new and has detailed character development,
everything you want to see and more~ 


Yet Drynn takes the Cake in being cold, charming and arrogant in regards to humanity which makes him a spot on terror of man.   
Thus I thought doing a little drabble with him interacting with non-cannon humans ( Because I'm pretty sure technological advancements
aren't all that big in his normal UV ) would be interesting and new. Though I'm not sure if he actually eats seals... Hypothetical guess since
he is after all part Killer Whale. *Shrug*
Still not happy with the coloring job. -m-  
But it was either this or those, meh.
